Raspberry Apple Pie

Raspberry apple pie is a great type of pie that has an amazing flavor that everybody will love! This recipe for apple pie is very delicious and simple, and takes almost no effort. This pie is one of my personal favorites and anyone who likes raspberries will definitely love this pie. It is also quite easy to make, and will not take too much time out of your busy schedule. Ingredients


  • 2 and 3/4 pounds of apples
  • 6 ounces of raspberries
  • 3/4 of a cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 of a cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
  • pinch of salt
  • pate brisee
  • 2tbsp of unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp of heavy cream
  • sanding sugar for sprinkling

Directions


  1. Mix apples, raspberries, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, and salt into a bowl. set that bowl aside
  2. On a floured surface roll out a disk of dough 3mm thick and cut out a 12 inch round.
  3. Now put that round into a 9 inch pie plate.
  4. Pour in the mix you set aside earlier and dot it with butter.
  5. Roll out another round that is the same size and drape it over the filling. trim the edges to about an inch and crimp them.
  6. brush whisked egg yolk and cream on top of the pie. Then sprinkle the pie with sanding sugar.
  7. Now bake in a 375 degrees F oven for about 70 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
  8. Cool for 4 hours.

Hopefully this makes you a great raspberry apple pie. Although it might take a while it is definitely worth it for the incredible apple with a raspberry flavor filling that is one of the best pies we’ve tried. Let us know how it turns out for you!
