Ingredients:
- one double crust pie pastry
- six cups of peeled, cored and sliced apples
- one lemon the is juiced
- half a cup of brown sugar
- half a cup of sugar that is white
- two teaspoons of cinnamon that has been ground
- one-quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg that has been grated freshly
- three tablespoons of flour
- one-quarter of cup of cold cut up butter
- nine quartered cubes of caramel
- one tablespoon of sugar that is white
Directions:
- Preheat you oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix the apple, flour, cinnamon, sugar, butter, caramel and spice together in a big bowl.
- Press the pie pastry into a nine inch pan.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust.
- Take the remaining pastry and put it over the filling, flute the edges and poke holes in the top for ventilation.
- Sprinkle sugar over the top of the pie.
- Bake for about 50 minutes.
